Something Old Something New

Today I pulled out my parents old Kodak slide projector, drank tea, and sat in the dark basement alone with my pup. Clicking through the photographs gave me a sence of awe. Looking at my parents in their younger years, and all the vacations they took made me really feel inspired to create something new.

I fell in love with this pic of the sea my dad took. I decided to set up my Nikon D60 and tripod and take a picture, of his picture.

My dad seemed to lug his camera around everwhere.
It was an old Canon AT-1 with a huge Vivitar flash sitting on top of it.
This is a picture he took of a shore in Scotland in the late 70's
(I later edited it in Photoshop and had some fun)

The print is now available on Etsy for sale.

Hope everyone else had a nice relaxing day too!

Fashion Kills

Okay, So this isn't something you'd normally find on my blog, but I came across this petition tonight and just had to share it.

Everyone, The use of fox tails in recent fashions is completely immoral. It's inhumane and completely sadistic.
Real fox's are being killed for their precious tails... for what? To be hung from a purse, or belt loop... for a trend.

This company is one of the largest retailers of these fashion fox tails, and by clicking this picture you can sign the petition for change: to stop them from perpetuating this unnecessary act of animal cruelty. It really only takes less than 2 minutes. Just click this pic.

The funny thing is, faux fox tails come in some super cute colors and there are tons of Etsians who make them for sale!

Here are just two examples of some I've found in a quick Etsy search :)

Both are very cute, affordable, and did not result in the death of an animal!
